One of these buttons may appear when browsing books or journals, or display next to search results in databases. Clicking on the button will tell you if it is available to you. If it's not available, you'll be offered a link to make a request.
What do all those symbols mean after some of the links?
If you hover your cursor over an icon next to a link you can see what that icon represents. Here is a quick list of the most common icons and what they represent:
This icon means that the resource is restricted to Providence-Providence Park clinicians and associates and no additional log on is necessary if the resource is being accessed via a computer attached to the PPPH network.
If you see this icon next to a link it means that the resource can be access remotely through OpenAthens by logging into your OpenAthens account. "Remotely" also includes accessing a resource on the public wireless in the hospital.
This icon means that the resource is freely available to anyone, anywhere.
The Helen L. DeRoy Medical Library is located on the first floor between the Main Lobby and the Heart Institute.
Until further notice the library staff has been mandated to work remotely.
Rest assured that I will be doing everything possible to be available to the residents, physicians, nurses and the rest of the hospital's associates during this time. Attached please find a memo with the information necessary to access the library and contact the library staff.
The library is available 24/7/365 to staff via the door with the badge reader.
Please tell us how we are doing.
